We'll be having wood-fired pizza! There will also be appetizers and salads. If you have dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP.

QCan I bring a plus one?

This wedding is rated R. Please make arrangements for your children ahead of time. If you have any questions or difficulties, please contact us directly.

QWill there be alcohol?

Duh... it's us. There will be beer and wine, and a signature vodka-based cocktail at our open bar.

QWhat should I wear?

Think cocktail attire. Something classy.

The Proposal

The awkward, but heartfelt proposal took a lot of planning and was almost ruined by the TSA.

Our destination was New Orleans for a few days of exploration and debauchery. I had the ring that I had secretly designed tucked away in my jacket pocket.

A few months earlier I had signed us both up for TSA Pre-Check, which allows you to pass through security with ease. Unfortunately, it wasn't so easy for me. Alicia walked right through, and as I tried to pass, the metal detector went off and I had to go back and start removing items from myself. I didn't want Alicia to see the ring, so I kept it in my pocket.

After removing all of my accessories, I tried to walk back through. The ring again set off the detector. This time security got invovled and started a pat-down and hand-scan of my pockets.

Panicked, I backed up, threw off my jacket, and tossed it into the xray belt hoping that I wouldn't have to take it out. After a bit of confusion, we carried on.

Our first night of vacation was the perfect time as I didn't want Alicia to visit NOLA without being engaged.

We were walking along the Mississippi River with the stars in the sky and only a few pedestrians passing by. I told her that I had a present for her.

I had a stack of index cards in my pocket each noted with awkward and weird things that Alicia does. After every note, I followed with another note saying "but I still love you."

At the very end of one final noted awkward trait, I looked at her and said "you already know what's happening here." She did, and I did the one-knee thing and proposed. Fortunately for me, she said 'ok'.
